Recently, I’ve realized how many people struggle with infertility, hormone imbalance and various other health problems. In summer, one of my friends got diagnosed with lymphoma. On top of these, seeing the DevaCurl scandal take over the internet, I got really worried about my health and decided that I pay a lot of attention to what I put on my body.
After doing a little bit of research about clean beauty, I came across this website/application by EWG called the Skin Deep. I searched most of my products on this database and got absolutely devastated with what I saw. The products I thought were “natural” were rated about 8 out of 10.
I had almost run out of my shampoo so it was a good opportunity to start using non toxic products. I spent a lot of time trying to get to know brands but most of the things I found out were either too expensive or weren’t available in Italy. After having enough of it, I went on the Naturasi website and looked up what products they had and I came across the brand Lavera.
Now to the review…
The product aims to moisturize dry hair and help those with sensitive scalps. It has a thicker texture than any other shampoos I’ve used so I had to get used to how to distribute it properly to my hair. It has an herbal/fresh scent that I’m not a big fan of but it doesn’t bother me.
I know a lot of people are interested in how your hair feels while washing. At first, I was really scared because it felt like it stripped my hair of all the natural oils and I thought I was going to have to deal with frizzy hair. I applied shampoo normally and styled my hair as I usually would. My hair didn’t feel dry and frizzy at all. After using it for a couple of weeks, I could see my hair was really shiny and even had more body to it. It being really affordable and easily accessible definitely made love this even more…

I hope you enjoyed reading this review. I’ve had this blog for such a long time now but I never knew what to write about. Being passionate about non toxic beauty, I think I want this blog to be about it. I will post about things I’ll be considering about trying new products. I would really appreciate some constructive criticism.
