Today, we’re taking a step back, to where we came from. That is, 2013. The YouTube & Blogspot era… That’s when I created my first blog, did you know that? It only took me 7 years to actually get into it… So! Skincare…
I don’t really have a specific face wash that I use. I’m currently using Neutrogena but when I run out, it doesn’t matter if I get the same. If you read one of my previous posts that was a review of a natural shampoo, you might remember that I really want to switch to clean and natural products. So if you have any recommendations in this category, I’d very appreciate if you comment down below!
2. Nip+Fab Glycolic Fix Daily Cleansing Pads
I looove this one! My hand goes to these pads whenever my skin texture looks rough and my skin is dull. A problem that I have with my skin is little purple scarring after my acne dries out and the glycolic acid really helps lighten them. Sometimes I use these every day, sometimes twice a week. It really depends on how my skin is feeling and I love the way it leaves my skin afterward.
3. Nab Rose Water Spray
I first saw this product on my friend Duygu Özen’s Instagram. One day as I was walking my dog in Istanbul before the lockdown, he insisted that we’d go into the shop. I’m not kidding. I’ll tell the full story on my IGTV when I introduce some of my favorite brands from Turkey so do keep an eye on that!
I use it whenever I use the Nip+Fab glycolic acid pads so that it soothes my skin. But like who needs an excuse to use a refreshing and hydrating rose water on their skin…
4. Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Serum
A holy-grail product for most, I like to use it after my skin has had a rough time. After I finished my full sized bottle, Duygu whom I mentioned above gifted me this travel sized one! I use it more and more as the weather gets colder and I wake up with amazing skin. Sometimes when it’s really cold out, I use it in the morning too.
5. CeraVe Daily Moisturizing Lotion
I use this product as my main moisturizer. It has a runny consistency and is very light. Although a lot of people swear by it, especially during winter, it’s not always enough for me. I apply a thicker cream on top during winter.
6. Weleda Skin Food
Apparently a cult favorite, I started using this not too long ago. It is very thick and extremely moisturizing. I apply it either locally to my dry and flaky spots or just all over my face. Definitely a product to use at night since it makes the skin look oily. I don’t use foundation but if I were to try a glowy make up look I would try this underneath though. If you’ve ever tried it, let me know what you think below!
7. Eucerin Oil Control Dry Touch 50+ SPF
I’ve been wanting to get a sunscreen for a while but it wasn’t really an easy product to get. I didn’t want it to make my skin oily and cause breakouts. So when my boyfriends sister Olivia told me that her and his other sister Anita use this, I got it without even reading anything online. They have very sensitive skin so anything that works for them, I can try. It has a pump which I love.
I hope you enjoyed reading about the skincare products I currently use! See you in another post!
